Youth killed in playing horn controversy, attacked with a sharp weapon
In Rampura, Kotwali area, a bike-ridden youth was killed with a sharp weapon in a dispute over playing horn late on Sunday evening. After the incident, the accused fled from the spot. The young man was returning from work on a bike with his elder brother at the time of the incident. The sensation spread to the area after the murder. According to the information, Prem Kashyap (19), son of Baburam, Rampura ward 22 resident, along with elder brother Rinku, worked as a carpenter in a furniture showroom on Sibbal Cinema Marg. The two brothers were returning home by bike late on Sunday evening after finishing work. Rinku was riding a bike. On entering the Rampura, as Rinku played the horn to ask for a side in the street, three drunken neighbors who were standing there abused and assaulted the young man.
All three accused escaped after the incident
The three, seated behind the bike, snatched a wooden fork and beat the two brothers and snatched their bike. Both brothers reached home in a wounded condition. After some time both brothers reached the spot to take the bike, the three surrounded them and attacked them with sharp weapons. Prem died on the spot due to severe head injury. All three accused escaped after the incident. The family rushed him to the district hospital in the hope of Prem being alive, where doctors declared him dead.
On the information, SP City Devendra Pincha and SP Crime Pramod Kumar reached the district hospital and inquired about the incident from the relatives. They formed teams of the Kotwali police and searched for the accused. SP City said that the case is not related to old enmity.
