Uttarakhand will soon recruit 1700 civil, fire and traffic policemen. Apart from this, economic crime police stations will be opened in Kumaon (Pantnagar or Haldwani) and Dehradun. Apart from this, multiple buildings will be built in the IG Range office complex, where Fire, SDRF, and Traffic will have their headquarters. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat gave its in-principle approval at a meeting of police officers.

Additional Chief Secretary Personnel Radha Raturi, Secretary Finance Amit Negi, Home Secretary Nitesh Jha, Director General of Police Anil Kumar Raturi, Director General of Police Law and Order Ashok Kumar, Additional Director General of Police V Kumar, IG Sanjay Gunjyal, IG AP Anshuman, IG Personnel Pushpak Jyoti, IG Jail PVK Prasad, IG Garhwal Ajay Rautela, DIG Traffic Only Khurana, DIG STF Riddhim Agarwal, DIG Kumaon Jagatram Joshi, etc. are included in this.
An awareness campaign will also be run in schools against drugs
During the review meeting at the secretariat, the CM asked to run an awareness campaign against drugs to schools. He asked for an increase in seizures in cases of vehicle theft. Earlier, DGP Anil Kumar Raturi and DG Law and Order Ashok Kumar gave a presentation on the law and order of the state.
CM asked to open a separate economic crime police station to control the rising economic crimes in the state. He said to set up a cyber police station and de-addiction center in Haldwani. The CM instructed the officials to start the recruitment process on the vacant posts. These include about 1700 posts of civil police, traffic police, and fire.
