Saarthi software linked public service center, the cybercafe will get relief from expensive fees
If you have to get a driving license then this news is for you. Driving licenses can also be made through about 8128 public service centers in Uttarakhand. Transport Department has connected all public service centers with Sarathi software.
The new system will also relieve the expensive license fees of cybercafes for driving license applicants. The fee for driving license application has been kept at Jan Seva Kendras at Rs 20. Deputy Transport Commissioner Sanat Kumar Singh has issued instructions in this regard to all divisional transport officers and assistant divisional transport officers.
Till now public service centers were connected to vehicle software. Vehicle software is designed for online payment of fees related to vehicles. But the Sarathi software related to the application of driving license could not be linked to the public service centers.
Online application and fee will be deposited
The National Information Center (NIC) was given the responsibility of making necessary improvements in the software. NIC has designed the software. Now, this software will be connected to 8128 public service centers in the state. Among these, e-district service is being provided at 5935 public service centers.
With the commencement of this service, online application can be made for driving license by paying a fixed fee of Rs 20 at the public service centers. There will also be a facility to pay fees online. On completion of the process of application and fee, information regarding the test will be received online on the same day.
