Summit to be organized in April 2020, estimated to cost 25 crores
National Institute of Hotel Management will be organized in Dehradun
The government has prepared the blueprint for the first wellness summit to be held in Uttarakhand. In April 2020, the summit will be held in the auditorium of the National Institute of Hotel Management. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit.
It is estimated to cost around 25 crores. The wellness summit will have country partners in the USA, France, UAE, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia. For this, consent for participation from embassies is yet to be obtained.
The wellness industry is developing rapidly at the global level. The industry is expected to grow at a rate of 8 percent in the coming times. In the last few years, this growth in India has been 20 percent.
Given the immense potential of the wellness industry in Uttarakhand, the Trivendra government is going to organize a wellness summit for the first time in the state. The cabinet on Wednesday approved the holding of the wellness summit. The government has almost fixed the outline of the summit program.
In this two-day summit, eight sectors including wellness economy, wellness tourism, organic food, wellness products will be churned with investors coming from all over the world.
The summit will be preceded by roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad. While Ambassador in Rishikesh, Conclave and Curtain Razor in Almora are proposed to be organized.
