Uttarakhand: SDRF searched for foreign trekkers and guide missing for three days

The group of foreign trackers and guides who went out of Devaria Tal from Rudraprayag to Chobatta Bugyal had gone missing. They have been searched successfully by the SDRF two days later.

On Wednesday night, the Sonprayag Police Chawki received information of the missing of two foreign trekkers including a guide. On which one team of SDRF left for Devaria Tal trekker route at 5 am this morning for the search.

About 3-4 km from the Devaria Chobatta route where the team had gone missing that include a Frenchman, Alexander (28) and Chloe (female age 29), along with the guide, Shushant Pawar (24) was found at around 9:45 pm. After which the above trekker and guide’s team rushed to Ukhimath.

Pauri resident guide Shushant said that these people had gone to Chobatta Bugyal route from Guptkashi and Deoria Taal on March 13. Due to bad weather and heavy snow, clear information about the route could not be found and the road went astray.
