Information sent late evening to the State Election Commission
Commission also confirmed to get reservation list
The government also finally released the final list of reservations for the post of District Panchayat President late in the evening. Dealing with the 15 objections of seven districts, the government did not change any seat.
Now the post of District Panchayat President of Dehradun has been reserved for Scheduled Tribe Women and District Panchayat President of Pithoragarh for Other Backward Class Women. The State Election Commission has also confirmed to receive the final notification of reservation.
In the reservation declared by the government, the government received a total of 15 objections in a span of seven days. Of these, the question of reserving the post of Dehradun district panchayat president for Scheduled Tribe women was also raised.
It was also said that it would be better for the Scheduled Tribes to reserve Udham Singh Nagar instead of Dehradun. Similarly, the question of reserving Pithoragarh for OBC was also raised. The government recognized that the reservation to represent the Scheduled Tribes in the post of District Panchayat President in Dehradun is completely correct.
The notification was also sent to the State Election Commission late at night. Panchayat Secretary Ranjit Sinha confirmed this. According to the secretary, no change has been made in the final notification of the reservation. State Election Commissioner Chandrashekhar Bhatt also confirmed the reservation list.
