Under the CAU program, the top players of under-16 will be given high-level coaching
The Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) is going to start a high-performance program to encourage domestic cricket in Uttarakhand. In this, top players of the under-16 category will be selected, who will be trained by the coaches of the first-class category.
The program will be started by Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid. With the implementation of this program, rapid improvement is expected in the face of domestic cricket in the state. A proposal regarding the high-performance program has also been passed in the CAU’s Apex Council meeting.
CAU President Jot Singh Gunnsola said that to promote cricket special emphasis needs to be given to domestic cricket. It was decided in the meeting that 25 players who performed best in the under-16 category were selected and prepared for international cricket.
International level coaches will train
These players will be trained by national and international level coaches. To recognize this ambitious program, CAU has also decided to launch Rahul Dravid. CAU CEO Amrit Mathur, Co-Secretary Avnish Verma, Prithvi Singh Negi, Deepak Mehra, Nishtha Farasi and many others were present in the meeting.
CAU will keep every information of players
The meeting also approved hiring the company to analyze the players’ data. This company will collect data of players from every category of CAU. With this, CAU will be able to provide the smallest details of every player. Apart from this, it was also decided to hold a tie by-process from Max Hospital and the meeting of the Apex Council on 14 December.
