Pulse polio campaign will run on September 16
Uttarakhand – Pulse polio campaign will be organized on the National Additional Immunization Day on September 16 in the state. Under the campaign, polio medicine will be given to all children between 0 and 5 years old. At the state task force meeting, mission director NHM Yugal Kishore Pant instructed departmental officials that no child should stop taking polio medicine.
In a meeting held at the Health Directorate on Friday, Mission Director Pant instructed the officials of the Education Department and ICDS to inform children about polio vaccination during the prayer meeting.
This will help the children carry the message of the polio campaign to their home. It was decided in the meeting that the campaign will be monitored through physicians from the Department of Medicine of AIIMS Rishikesh, Medical College Jollygrant, Mahant Indiresh Hospital, and Doon Medical College.
Director NHM Dr. Anjali Nautiyal, WHO experts under National Polio Surveillance Project, Dr. Vikas Sharma, Dr. Meenakshi Uniyal, Pankaj Singh, KS Martolia, JC Pandey, Dr. AK Srivastava, Richa Singh, Dr. Puneet, Surekha Kishore, Deputy Director Hemlata Bhatt, etc. were present.
