Meritorious students of state government schools will be given free laptops. Its proposal has been sent to the government on behalf of the Directorate of Education. According to Education Director RK Kunwar, a provision of Rs 1.5 crore has been made for this in the financial year 2019-20. After the mandate, the meritorious students will be given laptops.
According to Education Department officials, the government has decided to give free laptops to students who have scored more than 80 percent marks in the high school and intermediate board exams.
The education directorate has sent the proposal to the government, when its proposal is sought from the government. The full details of how many students will fall in this area have been sent to the government. Departmental officials say that giving free laptops to the meritorious students will encourage the students.
Budget has been made in the financial year for free laptops to meritorious students, yet to be its GO. After the GO, it will be distributed to the students.
