On the lines of the railways, roadways management in Uttarakhand is also working on a plan for the online booking of buses. Though the online booking of all buses including Volvo has been banned in the wake of the coronavirus, but now that the railways has started online booking, the roadways management is working on a plan to book the buses online.
Transport corporation management says that suggestions will be sought from the government soon in this regard. Hopefully, if the central and state government relaxes the lockdown from April 15, a window can be opened for online booking of buses a day before is. Due to Coronavirus, the online booking of buses has been stopped due to the lockdown implemented across the country.
General Manager Deepak Jain says that no decision has been taken at the moment regarding online booking but in this regard, guidance will be sought by writing a letter to the government soon.
Online booking of buses can be started from April 14 if the state government also grants relaxation in lockdown on behalf of the government and allows buses to operate.
Due to the lockdown implemented by the central government, the operation of 1634 buses across the state is completely stalled and all the buses have been parked in the workshops and all depots.
