Uttarakhand: Good news for those who want to study medicine, increase of 100 seats of MBBS

In Uttarakhand this year, 100 seats of MBBS can be increased. After the inspection of the MCI in Almora State Medical College, the formalities have been completed. Now the Medical Council of India (MCI) is awaiting a green signal. After this, the recruitment process for the purchase of Instruments and faculty in the college will start.

The government had announced the opening of Medical College in Almora four years ago. A few months later, due to lack of budget, the construction work of the college was stuck. After this, the government appointed the principal last year in the college. The principal took up the task of construction.

During this period the government also created various posts in the medical college. After the inspection by the MCI, the compliance report of the college’s shortcomings was also sent. The posts were not recruited due to the code of conduct. The reply to the Compliance Report has been sent. According to the information, state and central government want to start this medical college from this year.

State Medical College; Haldwani; 100;
State Medical College, Dehradun; 150;
State Almora Medical College, Almora; 100

Get benefit of 85 seats.
If Almora Medical College starts this year then it will give admission in 85 MBBS seats. Actually, this college will give 100 seats, out of which 15 seats will be filled under All India quota and 85 seats will be filled under the state quota.

The construction of the college has been completed. Recruitment of some Instruments and Faculty is being started. The reply of the compliance report of MCI has been sent. Now only the MCI is waiting for permission. This is the preparation of MBBS from this year.
