Uttarakhand: Five new Kendriya Vidyalayas to be opened in the state, HRD Minister Nishank gave instructions

Five new Kendriya Vidyalayas will soon come into existence in the state. In this regard, the Union Human Resource and Development Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has instructed the Chief Secretary to provide land during the review meeting of the officials of CBSE, NIT, JNV, KVIs, NIOS, IGNOU. Apart from this, a strategy was decided on several important points.

Regional Officer Ranbir Singh presented a memento to Human Resources Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank during the review meeting held at the ONGC Tel Bhavan campus to mark 90 years of CBSE. After this, he gave information about the functioning of CBSE. During the discussion, Dr. Nishank telephoned the CBSE Chairman and instructed him to lay the foundation stone of the regional office building in Dehradun within three months. The issue of Kendriya Vidyalayas figured prominently in the meeting.

So far only 60 percent have joined the Kendriya Vidyalayas against 187 posts. Of these, 40 percent have not joined. On this, the minister said that instead of giving others a chance. Apart from this, the Chief Secretary directed to provide land for the central school in Gauchar, Banbasa, Haldwani, Srinagar, and Rishikesh. Officers of all central institutions were present in the meeting.

Only NIT will open KV
The Kendriya Vidyalaya will also be opened on the NIT campus. For this, Dr. Nishank has given instructions to propose. Along with this, orders have also been given for the permanent construction of KVs at Agastyamuni, Bageshwar, Bhimtal, Gopeshwar, Gwaladam, Khatima, Lohaghata, New Tehri.

IGNOU, NIOS will have its own land
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will have their own land in the capital. Regional offices of IGNOU and NIOS have been running in rented buildings in the state for a long time. In this regard, Minister Dr. Nishank has directed the officials concerned.

JNV will form regional office
The regional center of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas running in the state is currently in Lucknow. Because of this, they have to run for any job in Lucknow. HRD Minister Dr. Nishank spoke on the phone to top JNV officials in this regard. He has issued instructions to open a regional center of JNV in Uttarakhand soon.
