‘Uttarakhand Day’ celebrated during the ongoing 38th International Trade Fair that is organized at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on Monday. The Higher Education and Protocol (independent charge) Uttarakhand, Minister of State for Cooperatives, Dhan Singh Rawat participated as the chief guest on the occasion. Artistes from Uttarakhand displayed the culture in various ways at Vatika Lane on the occasion.
The chief guest has congratulated the Uttarakhand people on the successful completion of 18 years of its existence. He also spoke of the developments the state has seen in these years. Developments in various fields like education, health, tourism, and horticulture, uninterrupted power supply throughout the day and each village are connected by road. Rawat said that the state government has adopted a zero-tolerance policy on corruption.
Dhan Singh Rawat expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on the occasion along with mentioning that the state successfully organized investors summit-2018, in which MoUs amounting to more than Rs. 1,20,000 crore were signed which will result in varied developments including employment opportunities for lakhs of youth.
