The Uttarakhand government has allowed private hospitals to treat corona infected. Under the State Atal Ayushman Yojana, Golden Cardholders will get cashless treatment in registered private hospitals. Private hospitals registered under the scheme will have to provide cashless treatment facilities following the standards of COVID.

If a patient undergoing treatment for any other disease in private hospitals is found to be corona infected, he/she will not need to be referred to the government-approved COVID Hospital.

Private hospitals can treat the infected by following the guidelines issued by the Center for COVID treatment. Golden cardholder patients will get cashless treatment.

Will only have to pay for medical equipment

At the same time, the actual or minimum cost of medical equipment used during the treatment of private hospital COVID will be taken extra from the patients without the Golden Card.

The rates prescribed for the treatment of respiratory and flu-related diseases in the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana will be paid by the government to private hospitals at the same rates. Soon, guidelines will be issued to hospitals in this regard.
