-Process to make Raipur international stadium home ground in final stage, MoU signed soon
-CAU hosts NCA Under-19 camp, Raipur Stadium selected for camp
Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) will get the first home ground this month. The process of making the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium Raipur a home ground is in the final stages and an MoU will be signed between the CAU and the stadium management within the next few days. As soon as CAU gets home ground, the conduct of cricket activities in the state will also be started rapidly. It is going to prove important in terms of cricket in Uttarakhand.
Till now CAU did not have any home ground of its own, due to which CAU was not able to host the national level camp in the state. CAU also had to depend on the stadium management for BCCI domestic tournament matches.
This was the reason that in the previous APAC body meeting of CAU, the problem of lack of home ground was called the main and in the meeting, it was decided to make Raipur Stadium a home ground. Now CAU will be able to conduct cricket activities as per their convenience and they will not have to depend on anyone else.
NCA camp will be held in Raipur Stadium
CAU has also hosted the under-19 cricket camp of the National Cricket Academy (NCA). This is the first time CAU will organize a national camp. Raipur Stadium has been selected for this camp. That is why CAU wants to make Raipur Stadium a home ground as soon as possible so that preparations for the National Camp can be completed on time.
The formalities of making the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium the CAU’s home ground are being completed. In the same month CAU will sign an MoU with the stadium management. NCA’s under-19 camp will be organized in this stadium.
