Uttarakhand: Auli ready for National Skiing Championship, CM will launch

250 players from all over the country will reach Auli today

Auli, a world-famous tourist destination, is all set for the National Skiing Championships. Around 250 players from across the country will reach Auli on Friday. On February 8, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will inaugurate the championship. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj will also be present on this occasion.

Tourism Secretary Dilip Javalkar said that preparations for the National Skiing Championship to be held from February 8 to 10 have been completed by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and the Ski and Snow Board Association of Uttarakhand. This time the championship will be exciting due to natural snow on the slope of Auli.

No need for artificial ice
There are four feet of snow on the lower slope and 5 to 6 feet of snow on the upper slope. There was no need for artificial ice. The National Skiing Championships will be held in the Senior, Junior and Sub-Junior category.

In this, there will be slalom and giant slalom competition for men and women, junior under-21, junior under-18. Giant slalom for sub-junior under-16 and under-14 and snowboard for men and women, snowboard and cross country skiing race in junior under-21 and under-18.
