Uttarakhand assembly: no section benefits from state government budget – Harish Rawat

On the last day of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly session, the house was initially hostile. Chief Minister is demanding discussion on CD 310. On which the opposition did a great ruckus. The assembly committee formed to investigate the poisonous liquor scandal submitted its report to Speaker Prem Chand Agarwal. Today the report will be presented on the House Table. Speaker can give directions to the state government on the investigation report.

In the past, about half a dozen villages of Haridwar district’s Jhabrera assembly constituency, the life of 48 people had gone away from consuming poisonous liquor. Figuring out the number of dead people in Uttar Pradesh, it reached 100. The opposition raised this issue in the Assembly in rule 310. Speaker, in view of the seriousness of the matter, constituted a seven-member inquiry committee headed by the legislator Khajan Das.

This committee visited the spot and met the relatives and villagers of dead people due to poisonous liquor. In addition to the causes of the incident, they also tried to know the facts, due to which people are engaged in the manufacture and sale of raw liquor. The meeting was held with the officials of the Police, Administration and Excise Department, and summoned the officers on the basis of the facts found during the investigation. Videography of this whole investigation was also done. On Thursday, under the chairmanship of the chairman of the committee Khajan Das, the members met the Speaker in their room and handed them the report and a CD. The speaker expressed his gratitude to the members of the committee on handing over the report on time. Khajan Das, Rajkumar, Mukesh Kohli, Mamta Rakesh were present on this occasion.
