Uttarakhand: A tragic accident on Rishikesh-Gangotri highway, three killed in Sumo falling into a ditch

On Tuesday morning, there was a painful accident on the Rishikesh-Gangotri highway. A Tata Sumo fell down in the gorge and flew into it. According to the information, the Sumo fell into the ditch in Nagun Ghad near Chinyalisod on the highway.

Three people died on the spot. Police and administration team on the alert left for the spot. It was told that the vehicle was going to Chinnyalisod from Kyari Chapra. The dead include a woman and two men. Local people removed bodies from the ditch. The incident took place at 8.28 a.m.

Name of deceased, driver Mahavir Jagodi, aged 34, son Jagdish Prasad Jagodi, resident of Kandisaud, Jyoti Prasad, age 60 years and his wife Rajpati Devi, age 45 years, resident of Kandisaud. The bodies are being brought to CHC Condosaura. On the spot Tehsildar Kandisaud, Patwari Bayad village, Patwari Nagun, Thana Dharasu’s team, and local people are present.

Between Kotdwar and Dugadda, scooter and bus collision
Two students of ITI Dugadda, who was aboard in a scooter got seriously injured in a bus collision at a turn near the fourth mile between Kotdwar and Dugadda on the national highway. They were brought to the Base Hospital here for treatment, where the doctors have referred them to Higher Center after giving first aid and seeing the serious condition of both the injured. Both the wounded did not wear a helmet.

SI Bablu Singh Chauhan told that the resident of Kashirampur Talla Anurag Tripathi (19) son of Mohit Tripathi and Vikasnagar Gadighat resident Sagar (18) son of Sunil Prajapati are students of Industrial Training Institute Dugadda. Both were severely injured in the accident. Read more posts…
