Some people are unable to pass the Civil Examination even after being engaged for years and some people succeed to pass the highest test of the country with just one year’s hard work. Shailaja Pandey, who lives on Ju Road in Nainital, is also the same person who studied with concentration for only one year and got 266th rank in civil service.
Shailaja studied from the city’s St. Mary College till 12th standard. After this, she pursued B.Tech from NIT Madhya Pradesh. The goal was to become an IAS. Shailaja then forgot everything and went to study. Neither day nor night mattered, whatever time she got dedicated to studies. She kept her faith in herself.
Like playing guitar, playing basketball and writing
She took coaching from Delhi and then Haldwani to get the right guidance. In June last year, she gave the IAS examination. After this, joined the interview that lasted till March 2019. When the result of the exam came on Friday, her happiness was nowhere. She became an IAS officer.
She likes playing guitar, playing basketball and writing. Shailaja’s mother Dr. Shobha Pandey is a doctor in B.D. Pandey district hospital in Nainital whereas her father is an engineer in Sidkul. Her family consists of paternal grandmother Munni Pandey, grandfather PC Lohni, maternal grandmother Revati Lohni, Aunt Dr. Hema Lohni, etc.
Discipline, perseverance touched the sky of success
Namit Pathak, who lives in Pawan Vihar near Haldwani highway, got 218th rank in civil service. After getting the news of the success of Namita, the people crowded at their house to greet him. Namit passed High School Examination from St. John’s College, Nainital and Intermediate examination at St. Theresa School, Haldwani.
After this, BSc and MSc Honors from Hansraj College of Delhi University related to Zoology. Namit says that since 2015, he was preparing for civil service. Success was not achieved in the first attempt. In the second attempt, preliminary was cleared but did not succeed in the final. The third time he had reached the interview, but could not succeed.
Tactics based on exam
He has been successful in the fourth attempt, he ranked 218th. He says that once coaching was done for the preparation of civil service, after that he himself prepared for the exam. He says that he did not set any time for studies, whenever he wanted he had studied with his whole mind. Apart from this, the strategy created according to the exam has given the benefit.
Namit’s father Prakash Pandey has retired from Uttrakhand Rural Bank while mother Hema Pathak is a teacher of Botany in GGIC Kaladungi. The elder sister, Namrata Pathak, has done Ph.D. from Berlin (Germany) after doing IIT from Kharagpur.
