Two years stuck pension in the bureaucratic red tape paid after lodging complaint on the CM App. Devendra Singh Panwar, a retd. AE of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) had superannuated from the service in April 2016. But his pension was paid after a long gap and disappointments he had to face over the two years with his due eluding him.
Attempting to get his pension arrears amounting to Rs 17.78 lakh, Panwar submitted applications to UPCL, and the state treasury requesting for prompt clearance of his pension arrears. To his surprise, he received his pending pension soon after he lodged an online complaint on the CM App. On the instructions of the CM office, the UPCL and treasury swung into action and within days, his pending arrears were paid.
