Now if they want to come to Uttarakhand from abroad, then they can spend an institutional quarantine period of seven days in Uttarakhand itself. They will also be allowed to spend this period in hotels at their own expense or in government-built quarantine centers. Elderly, seriously ill, pregnant women above 65 years of age, parents who die in the family, and children who are less than 10 years of age will be exempted from this. At first, migrants are being institutionalized quarantined in the respective cities for seven days when they come back by plane. After this, when no symptoms are seen, they are being sent to their respective states.
On Tuesday, Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority Chief Executive Officer and Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh issued revised guidelines for Uttarakhand residents coming from abroad. It has been clarified that those coming to Uttarakhand from abroad have to register at https://dsclservices.org.in/uttarakhand-migrant-registration.php before starting their journey. Those without symptoms will have to stay in a seven-day institutional and then a 14-day home quarantine. Those coming from outside have to be clearly told whether they want to remain institutional quarantine at their own expense or at government expense. Additional nodal officers posted in Delhi will provide a list of hotels from Delhi and its surrounding areas as well as Uttarakhand to the passengers coming from outside. A list of government quarantine centers will be made available to those living in quarantine at government expense.
After this, vehicles will be provided to the passengers who want to come to Uttarakhand, which will have to be borne by the passenger. The Additional Nodal Officer will apprise the concerning District Magistrates about these passengers so that proper arrangements can be made for them. Travelers will have to report directly to their chosen quarantine centers after reaching Uttarakhand. Those desirous of quarantine at government expense will have to go directly to the quarantine centers after reporting at the border check post. Those violating it will be taken action under the Pandemic Act, IPC, and Disaster Management Act.
