The Uttarakhand employees will now be given 7th pay scale arrears

The Uttarakhand government has issued an order to pay an estimated two lakh employees to pay the arrears of the seventh pay scale applied under the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. On Monday, Additional Secretary (Finance) Arunendra Singh Chauhan released his mandate.
Payment of arrears will be credited to the employees’ provident fund (GPF) from February 1, with the income tax deduction. According to the mandate, the deposit amount will not be taken in normal conditions before one year.
Those employees who do not have a GPF account will be paid cash by deducting income tax. The recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission in the State have come into effect from 1 January 2016. The employees were given the benefit of the new pay scale from January 1, 2017. The government then decided that the decided salary will be given in two installments from January 2016 to December 31, 2016.
The first installment of Arrear was released during the year 2017-18. It has been decided to pay the arrears of a period from July 2016 to December 31, 2016, from February 2019.3.
