Usha Negi, Chairman of the Child Rights Protection Commission has questioned the role of police in the case of rape with the 9-yr-old innocent in Tehri’s Nainabagh area. Apart from this, there is strong displeasure on keeping the innocent in the labor room.

She has written a letter to the Director General of Police to investigate the role of the police in the case. In addition to this, the inquiry committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Tehri for detailed investigation of the case.

Meanwhile, taking action in this case, in the rape case in Naina Bagh, the CO Narendra Nagar’s Uttam Singh has been fired on Monday. Pramod Shah has been made the new CO. At the same time, the investigation of this case has been transferred to CEO Swapan Singh.

The scared Innocent refused to record the statement of 164
Chairman of Child Rights Protection Commission, Usha Negi, reached Doon Hospital on Sunday. In the hospital, she expressed strong displeasure over keeping the innocent in the labor room and shifted to the ward. In her presence, she also took many treatments for the innocent.

During this, the family members of the victim told the Commission that without their consent, the police took the innocent along with the matter of lodging the statement of 164 in the court. The police took the accused along with the victim and her relatives in the same vehicle. In such a situation, she was scared of seeing the accused and refused to record the statement of 164.

Talk about the police’s role
Apart from this, the policemen were in uniform instead of plain clothes. The Chairman of the Commission, expressing strong displeasure, said that the role of the police should be investigated. The Chairman of the Commission said that in this regard the letter will be written to the Director General of Police.

For a detailed investigation of the matter, a committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Tehri and will be investigated.
