On the basis of a low-Income certificate, Nainital High Court has stayed the arrest of the accused father Munna Lal Nautiyal in the matter of the scholarship scam. Son Mayank Nautiyal has already got relief in this matter. The High Court has asked the government to respond within three weeks. Nautiyal’s Advocate, while expressing objection to the income tax return, kept his side.
After the SIT investigation, a case was filed by Advocate Chandrashekhar Kargeti in the case of charging scholarship on the basis of the low-income certificate in Doiwala Kotwali. It was alleged that Mayank Nautiyal recovered scholarship in private institutions for five years on the basis of the father’s low-income certificate. In this case, Mayank Nautiyal, his father Munna Lal Nautiyal, Nodal Officer IT, District Social Welfare Officer, Tehsildar and Lekhpal were accused. The High Court has already banned Mayank Nautiyal’s arrest.
The matter is being led by Jaya Baluni, who is affiliated with CO Dalanwala, and SIT. Mayank Nautiyal’s father and contractor Munna Lal Nautiyal questioned the case and took the high court’s asylum. The High Court banned his arrest after hearing on Wednesday. Munnalal Nautiyal’s Advocate Navneet Kaushik told that the High Court has asked the government to respond in three weeks in this matter.
Kaushik says that Mayank Nautiyal had enrolled in 2013-14. That year, income tax return of Munna Lal Nautiyal was Rs. Two lakh 48 thousand rupees. While hiding facts, returns are shown for the next financial year. The rule is also that there is a provision to deposit income certificate in the year of admission. Income certificate from Tehsil has also been made under the procedure.
