Supreme court verdict: students of Subharti Medical College will be shifted to government medical colleges

The Supreme Court has given relief to 300 students of the Subharti Medical College in Dehradun by asking them to shift to three government medical colleges. Along with this, the court has made a change in order on January 23. In which these students were ordered to shift to three government and two private medical colleges. In December last year, the Supreme Court had instructed the state government to take a look at the medical college Subharti Medical College.

Special Bench headed by Justice Rohinton F Nariman asked the Uttarakhand government to shift 300 students studying in Subharti Medical College to three government medical colleges (Haldwani, Srinagar, and Dehradun). Earlier, these students were asked to shift to three government and two private medical colleges, but this change has been made after the private colleges complained about the fees.

Deputy Advocate General JK Sethi, appearing on behalf of the state government, said that seeing the fear of disturbing the students by fees from private medical colleges, it is correct to send everyone to government colleges. This is a relief for all students. Read more posts…
