HNB University of Medical Education will now prepare people of nursing and paramedical fields in terms of specialty and super-specialty health facilities. It will give them specialization besides the core qualification. For this, the university has made a tie-up with 16 multi-specialty and specialty hospitals and blood banks in the state. Together with them, a six-month certificate course has been started. Under which 616 seats will be admitted. Interested candidates can apply for this by 16 March.
There was a time when people of Uttarakhand had to move to Delhi or Chandigarh for better treatment. However, now the treatment of serious diseases has become possible here. In the last decade, many well-known multi and super specialty hospitals have been opened in the state. At the same time, modern facilities have also increased. On the other hand, the burden of diseases is also increasing continuously. VC Prof. Hemachandra said that the demand for professionals in the health sector has increased. But there is still a shortage of trained people in terms of specialty and super specialty health services. Due to which such courses have become the need of the hour. Keeping this in mind, this initiative has been taken. Admission will be given on the basis of merit in the basic merit test. For higher education such as post-basic nursing, BSc nursing, and MSc nursing, a preference of five percent will be given for each qualification/specialty. In nursing, the candidates can also apply for the GNM final year provisional mark sheet.
