State Government to answer Uttarakhand High Court for scam in Ayushman Scheme

Uttarakhand High Court has asked the state government to file a reply within a week after hearing the PIL filed in the case of fake treatment and sharing income in the Ayushman scheme. The court has also asked the government what steps have been taken on this case.

The matter was heard before the Bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Alok Singh. Munidev Vishnoi, a resident of Kashipur, had filed public interest litigation and said that a big scandal has happened in the Ayushman scheme implemented by the central government in the state.

Under the scheme, the government hospitals referred many people to the registered hospitals, who were neither aware of the disease nor the people being referred to, whereas these private and registered hospitals from the government have taken the money for treatment.
