On 24 September 2019, Social Emergency Response Volunteers (SERV) training was organized by District Red Cross Branch Dehradun from Red Cross Building Danda Lakhond Dehradun. In this, all the trainees are being trained for three days and all training related to the disaster will be given. The training was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. I.S. Pal, former General Secretary, the state branch Uttarakhand by igniting the candle. After this, the chief guest threw light on the life of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross and how he dedicated his entire life to humanity, for which he was also awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. And also gave detailed information on the seven principles of the Red Cross. In a similar order, Dr. M.S. Ansari, General Secretary, State Branch Red Cross Uttarakhand, while informing everyone about the training of SERV said that by taking training you can immediately help the injured person in an accident. Until the ambulance arrives or you take the injured person to the hospital, you can save that person’s life on the way. Therefore it is very important to understand each and everything mentioned in the training. In the end, all the trainees were addressed by Anil Verma, Youth Red Cross director where he stated that this training is recognized by the Red Cross all over the world, so listen carefully to all the things mentioned in the training. Further, Anil Verma said that how the Red Cross has always been ready to help in the continuous disaster, and for disaster F.M.R. and First Aid training has been organizing training from time to time. The training is conducted by Mrs. Rupali Sharma. Members present were Mr. Ashish Kumar Chanalia, Mr. Amardeep Singh, Mrs. Preeti Rawat, Mrs. Neeru Bhat Petwal, Mr. Deepak Singh, etc.

On the other side, a blood donation camp was organized by District Red Cross Branch Dehradun at Uttaranchal Ayurvedic Medical College, Raipur, Dehradun. In which the Doon Medical College and Hospital team supported and 45 units of blood were collected by them. In the program, MS Ansari, General Secretary, Rakaya Branch Red Cross Uttarakhand, President of the institution, Dr. Ashwin Kamboj, Director of the institution, Sumit Kamboj, Mrs. Parvati Pandey, Anamika Soni Gupta, Pushpa Bhalla, Zahid Hasan, Shifat Ansari, Jagpreet Singh, etc. made the program a success.
