Sanitation Survey 2019: The Town of Uttarakhand making the cleanest Ganges Town in the country

The name of clean cities for the cleanliness survey 2019 has been announced today. Gauchar is the cleanest Ganga Town of Uttarakhand in the survey. Gaucher is a small town located in Karnpayag tehsil of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

In the cleanliness survey, Indore has been the top for the third time in a row. Bhopal is the first place in the cleanest capital. In the cleanliness survey- 4237 cities were surveyed in 28 days. During this time, 64 million people gave feedback. On social media, 4 million people of these cities have given feedback.

Gaucher is surrounded by seven mountains
Gauchar is surrounded by seven mountains. This town is known for the famous Gaucher Fair. In this fair, home boon and foreign tourists arrive. Gauchar Badrinath Dham is situated on the banks of the river Alaknanda.

In 1920, the wife of the then Viceroy, Lady Willingdon came from the air route. In 1938, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, along with his sister Vijaya Lakshmi, reached here via air for the visit of Pandit Badrinath. Read more posts…
