Rishikesh: The youth open-fired on the shopkeeper, shot at the head, he died in AIIMS


A retail trader, who had a footwear shop in the Haat under the Kotwali area, was shot by a completely unknown young man. After getting the information, the police admitted the man to AIIMS, where the doctors declared him dead. Within 15 days, the city has trembled after the same incident for the second time.

According to the information, 26-year-old Ravi, son of Suraj, resident of Mansa Devi Phatak had a footwear shop in IDPL Haat. As usual, he was showing stuff to his customers with his father at the shop. At around eight o’clock in the night, an unidentified youth shot dead Ravi and escaped from the spot.

After this incident people started screaming from everywhere. Local shopkeepers informed the police. On receiving the information Kotwal Ritesh Shah reached along with the police force on the spot and took the shopkeeper to AIIMS. The doctors here declared the youth dead.

According to Kotwal, the bullet has crossed over to the back of the young man’s neck. The relatives of the deceased have accused a young man of Haridwar Jwalpur of committing the crime.
