Rishikesh: A youth slipped while taking a selfie who has come to roam to the Ganga ghat along with his friends, died drowning

Taking a selfie during the Ganga bath at Mastram Ghat in Laxmanjhula area, a young man lost his life. The youth of Kotdwar slipped into the Ganges in an attempt to take Selfie while taking a bath.

Running a rescue campaign by the water police and local police jawans, the youth was rescued and taken to the Rishikesh state hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

Police station Laxmanjhula SHO Rakendra Singh Kathait told that 22-year-old Asheel Jadli, son of Vishambar Jadli, a resident of Kotdwar Nimbuchaud, had come to visit Lakshmanjula with his four friends.

During this, four friends at the Mastram Ghat started bathing in the Ganga. Meanwhile, Youth Asheel Jadli started taking a selfie with his mobile. During this, his feet slipped in the sharp stream of Ganga and he got drowned in the Ganges.

On the information of friends, the water police personnel Ritesh and Udit jumped into the Ganges to rescue the youth. After a lot of effort, the water police jawans pulled out the young man.
