Red Cross Committee, Uttarakhand has started a 5-day SERV instrutor training

On 08.1.2020, the State Branch of Indian Red Cross Committee, Uttarakhand has started a 5-day SERV Instrutor training and on the occasion of 100 years of Red Cross organized a planning meeting in a hotel at saharanpur Road, where Dehradun Mayor, Honorable Mr. Sunil Uniyal Gama lit the light to begin. In which Dr. S. Farooq Chairman Himalaya Dug Company and Colonel Naveen Chandra Dwivedi were the special guests. About 100 people including 30 participants from all the districts of Uttarakhand participated in this inauguration ceremony.

The main objective of the 5-day SERV Instrutor Training is to prepare a team of volunteers in disaster-affected areas, who are always ready to serve humanity at the time of disaster. The Red Cross Committee requested the Mayor that the road leading from Directorate General of Health to Raipur should be named Red Cross Road. On which Dehradun Mayor gave the assurance that the proposal of the road will be put for approval on the Board and all possible assistance will be given. On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Committee, Dr. Naresh Chaudhary, Treasurer Dr. Satish Pingal, General Secretary Dr. M. S. Ansari, Deputy Secretary Mr. Harish Sharma, Focal Person Mr. Ashish Chanalia, Disaster Management Coordinator Mrs. Neeru Bhatt Petwal were present.
