Unfinished works of 19 colleges to be completed by 2020
The Higher Education Department of Uttarakhand will have 877 Assistant Professors. According to the Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, a plea has already been sent to the Public Service Commission for this, but the appointments were pending as the matter was pending in the court.
Now the way of appointment has also been cleared from the court. Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a meeting of officials of the Higher Education Department in the office of Vidhan Sabha on Friday. In the meeting, he said that the work of 19 colleges in the state is incomplete. Unfinished works should be completed by 31 March 2020.
The Minister instructed the Secretary of Higher Education in the meeting to convene a meeting of the principals of the colleges, the planning department and the finance department to complete the pending works.
The minister also said that teachers working in the colleges where posts are sanctioned but no students, they should be sent to other colleges as per the requirement.
Secretary Higher Education Ashok Kumar, Joint Secretary MN Semwal, Joint Director Higher Education Kumkum Rautela were present in the meeting.
