On the first match of Ranji on Thursday, Bihar’s Ranji Trophy team got reduced to 60 runs in their first innings in the face of a fierce bowling by Uttarakhand bowler Deepak Dhopola. The team made 60 runs in 22.1 overs to return to the pavilion Uttarakhand team scored 201 runs on the loss of seven wickets in 65 overs. The Uttarakhand team had made 141 runs on the first day.
The match was played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Raipur where Bihar played after 18 years. Sports minister Arvind Pandey and coordinator of the Congressional Committee Prof. Ratnakar Shetty introduced both the teams before the match. Uttarakhand won the toss and decided to field first and their decision came true.
