Put a plastic bottle in this machine and get the money in a smart card

Dehradun Smart City Ltd. company has taken a new initiative towards the disposal of single-use plastic waste. The company has installed such a plastic bottle crusher machine at Tehsil Chowk, in which 60 paise per bottle can be obtained by adding plastic bottles or aluminum cans. For this, the donors will have to make a smart card and this amount will be added to the card. It is also the first crusher machine in the country based on smart cards.

Rajpur Road MLA Khajan Das inaugurated the plastic bottle crusher machine. Describing this as a better initiative, he said that this would also change the behavior of the Doonites regarding the disposal of plastic waste. At the same time, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava, CEO of Smart City Company, said that to get cash in exchange for a plastic bottle, people have to get a smart card from the designated centers.

This smart card will also be a kind of payment card. Through this, cashback can also be obtained by paying all kinds of bills across the country. The bottle stored in the machine will be recycled. This will also help in curbing the waste of Doon on a large scale. Additional Chief Executive Officer Abhishek Ruhela and others were present on the occasion.

The CEO of the company, Dr. Srivastava informed that a target has been set to issue 10,000 cards in Doon in the next two months. Stalls will be placed at various places to issue cards.

One percent cash back on payment other than 60 paisa

In the crusher machine, 60 paise will be received per bottle, plus the cardholder will also get one percent cashback on the total payment if the payment is made from the respective smart card.
