Protest for payment received assurance

Not paid for their hard works, the Asha workers held a protest outside the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun on Thursday. The union of Asha workers is led by President Shiva Dubey and together they staged a dharna.
In support with the Asha workers, Dubey said that health department is sitting over the payments of a survey of Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana (MSBY), Dengue and Pulse polio programme. She also alleged that payment of Directly Observed Treatment (DOTs) of TB has not been made from the year 2015 to them. These Asha workers are in fact upset for the state government never makes a one-time payment of their dues which creates a problem for them. The workers have later submitted a memorandum mentioning their six demands to the CMO of Dehradun, Dr. S P Agarwal, which was assured to be paid attention to.
