The passing out parade at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) will take place on December 7. In view of this, the Academy management has started finalizing the preparations. Gentleman cadets are also sweating profusely for the passing out parade.
The Indian Military Academy is identified as the Baramasi river, which consigns young officers to the army. Globally, the IMA is one of the few military training institutes where the Army is made up of the most and well-trained officers every year.
Not only India, but allied cadets also receive military training at the academy. In the journey of eight and a half decades since inception, the academy has given 61,762 young military officers to the army of foreign countries. These include 2342 military officers from more than 20 friendly countries. On December 7, the history of the academy will add the distinction of giving more than 62 thousand military officers to the army of India and abroad.
Strong security arrangements
The security of the academy complex is responsible for the Gorkha Rifles and other troops, while the security of the outer area is with the Doon Police. Army and police officials are strategizing about the security system. Intelligence agencies are also active.
ACC’s initiation ceremony on 29 November
Preparations for the events to be held before the main passing out parade are also being finalized. In this order, there will be a graduation ceremony of the Army Cadet College (ACC) on 29 November in the academy’s Chetwood Auditorium. Take the command of the academy. General SK Jha will confer Jawaharlal Nehru University’s degree to ACC cadets. After this, the same cadets of ACC will undergo military training at the IMA for a year.
Gentleman cadets in the passing out batch, who have excelled in various competitions during military training, will be felicitated at a function to be held on December 4 at Khetrapal Auditorium. On December 5, the Gentleman Cadet will attend the full dress rehearsal parade (Commandant Parade).
Defense Minister can be a reviewing officer
According to sources, this time Defense Minister Rajnath Singh can reach the POP as a reviewing officer. All senior army officers of the Army, Air Force, and Navy are also expected to arrive, including Army Chief General Bipin Rawat.
