As much as it is popular abroad, its craze is increasing in India as well. The Doon Valley is the most beautiful and interesting place for paragliding lovers, which can be developed as a paragliding hub. BSF has taken a good initiative in this direction.
The thrill of paragliding and adventure sports began in Maldevata on Friday. When the soldiers were seen flying in the sky by the people around, they too got thrilled. Parameters, paragliding teams of the country are participating in this three-day competition. During this time there are competitions for common people. The competition is being organized by the BSF Institute of Adventure and Advance Training Doiwala (BIAAT) and Himalayan Aero Sports Association (HASA).
The theme of the competition is ‘Environment and Himalaya’ Safety, which was inaugurated by DG Law and Order Ashok Kumar. The Commandant of BIAAT, Rajkumar Negi said that with the adventure sports competition, people will be made aware of rock climbing, rock craft, water sports. He said that the aim of the competition is to raise awareness about adventure sports.
The competition will take place for three days, with the winners being awarded at the closing ceremony on 30 September. Jaspal Singh Chauhan, the representative of the tourism department, welcomed the participants present at the ceremony and wished them a happy World Tourism Day. He informed, that the tourism department is making all efforts to encourage adventure sports. During this, President of HASA, Shubhang Raturi, BSF Second in Command, Manoj Panuli, Deputy Commandant, YS Rawat, Dinesh Kumar, BS Rawat, K Velu, Assistant Commandant Pawan Singh Panwar, Arun Raturi, Dr. Laxman Singh, Dr. Upendra Yadav were present.
