President Ram Nath Kovind on the two-day Gyan Kumbh said that no child should deprive for education for poverty and lack of resources. People from across the country have come to this occasion to participate. The President said morality, integrity and honesty are the pre-requisites which any teacher and management of educational institution must have. The President cited examples of Acharya Chanakya, Bhim Rao Ambedkar, APJ Abdul Kalam, S Radhakrishnan and Madan Mohan Malviya who have been stalwarts of education too. The Governor of Uttarakhand Baby Rani Maurya spoke on the occasion stressing on the need for smart class and also expressed her views on the challenges in the sphere of higher education. Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat also took part in the occasion and shared his view on the need of research and innovative education in the state enhancing PM Modi’s vison of digital India.
At the inaugural session, the President was accompanied by his wife Savita Kovind, Deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Sharma and Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya. The Chancellor of university of Patanjali, Swami Ramdev along with the large number of academicians and students was also present on the occasion.
