Union minister Nitin Gadkari has arrived in Haridwar to inaugurate the work under Namami Gange Yojana in Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, other BJP leaders including Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, BJP President Ajay Bhatt, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, Shyam Jaju were present on the forum.
In the program to be held at Neeldhara Chandighat, 450 crore works undertaken to free the Ganga from pollution will be dedicated to the people. In addition to the 20 Ganga Ghats built in Uttarakhand, the Union Minister will release the small 14 sewer refineries in Gangatat town, Swargeshram of Rishikesh, Tapovan, Srinagar and Gyansu Uttarkashi’s elevated sewer refineries are also being released in addition to Gurdeshwar, Nandprayag, Srinagar etc. in Neeldhara Chandighat in the river Ganga, Haridwar.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari today laid the foundation stone of a 50-kilometer ring road at a cost of Rs. 3650 crores. In Haridwar and Rishikesh, it is proposed to have a sewer network with the help of Germany Bank at a cost of about Rs. 12 crores. He has also made an additional arrangement of about Rs 40 crore from the CSR fund for the beautification of the har ki padi. This work will also start soon.
