A Nepalese origin boy drowns in the Ganga, found safe on the island a day later. According to the information, 26-year-old Gagan Bahadur, son of Hassan Bahadur, Village Bhiti police station jar Kothi tahsil Nepal, washed away on Friday night after sliding his foot into the Ganges river near 72 Shirdi.

On Friday the water police searched a lot, but due to darkness, the rescue has to be stopped. A day later on Saturday morning, around 7:30 pm, the water police safely rescued the boy Gagan Bahadur.

On Saturday morning, members of the relief team of PAC’s 40th battalion reached the Ganges crossing through the tube. After this, the youth trapped in the forest was rescued. Relief teams included Madan Chauhan, Sanjay Uniyal, Vinod Negi, Pradeep Rawat, Deepak Rawat, Harish, and others. After extensive efforts, they safely rescued the boy.
