After the sale of the painting by the income tax department of the chief accused of the PNB scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is now going to auction 13 of its luxurious cars. The auction process will be on the 18th of April.
Income tax department had earned Rs 54 crore
The Income Tax Department had recently raised Rs 54.84 crore by selling expensive petting on Neerav Modi’s bungalow. It also recovered the money through the auction. Now ED also believes that selling these vehicles will get a little extra money from them.
The online auction of these vehicles will be Metal Scrap Trade Corporation Limited (MSTC). Although the participants in the auction will be able to see the car, they will not be able to drive for the test. According to sources, all details of the vehicles will be made available on the MSTC website next week.
These vehicles will be auctioned
The vehicles which will be auctioned include Rolls Royce Ghost, Porte’s Panera, two Mercedes-Benz, three Honda cars, Toyota Fortuner and Innova. The condition of all these vehicles is quite good.
Time to be provided after the auction
After completion of the auction process, buyers will be given time to make the registration. Neerav Modi is currently in London’s Wandsworth Jail. At the moment the Westminster court has rejected his bail application for a second time.
