National champion players for Uttarakhand wandering for help

Sitarganj resident Qayum Ali, who is a member of Uttarakhand basketball team in the year 1994-95, is wandering for help. Qayum, suffering from serious illness, reached the sub-divisional office to get help for him on Wednesday, but their hands were helpless. The labour transit officer gave him the opinion of going to the Social Welfare Office for help.

Qayum Ali told that in 1994-95 he participated in National Basketball Contest for Uttarakhand. Due to his 7.5 ft tall stature, the team won easily. At the end of 1995, he was selected in the national basketball team. But after a high fever, his condition worsened and he became a handicap. He could not join the competition at the international level. He has been treated twice in the AIIMS hospital. Sold his ancestral land for treatment. Since then, his family has been struggling with a financial crisis. He also made an attempt to get treatment from the government hospital. Currently, his bones are growing bigger. With this, his hands have become crooked.

He told that when he called the CM PRO, he told Qayum to file the problem in the sub-divisional office. He needs a four-wheeled scooter. Labor Commissioner Anil Purohit offered four wheeler scooters and financial help. Labour enforcement officer gave him the opinion of going to the Social Welfare Office.
