DIG and principal, Mountaineering and Skiing Institute, ITBP, Gambhir Singh Chauhan, Auli had a detailed discussion on the issue of land allocation with the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat for opening Adventure Sports Institute by Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) near Tehri Lake.
The discussion was held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday where both hoped that the opening of the institute would further boost tourism in the State and provide jobs to the youth. Chauhan said that with the opening of Adventure Sports Institute near Tehri Lake, tourism would not just get a boost but the locals would also get more employment opportunities. The CM enthused by the proposal called up the DM Tehri and asked him to take all the required steps to take things forward. He also assured Chauhan in course of the meeting that ITBP would receive all possible support from the State Government as regards the proposed venture.
