CM Trivendra Singh Rawat made a big announcement on Tuesday, beginning the campaign against malnutrition. It is said that the government will conduct a hemoglobin test of girls from class 9-12 so that the real condition of anemia can be known in them. CM also reiterated the resolve to provide pucca buildings to all Anganwadi centers in the state by 2022. CM adopts a very malnourished girl child under Malnutrition Eradication Campaign and Nutrition Month September. The event was held on Tuesday in Janta Darshan Hall at CM Housing. CM in his address said that we should recognize the power of society. Women empowerment and child development minister Rekha Arya said that if it is to fight malnutrition, then it is necessary to start with a pregnant woman. To get adequate nutrition, it is necessary to register them in Anganwadi centers. Mussoorie MLA, Ganesh Joshi asked the department to give a list of malnourished children so that he can work with the help of all the people in the entire assembly constituency. Doon Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama said that malnutrition is a huge curse. Special efforts are needed for its liberation.
Malnutrition more in the plain districts than the mountains
– Women empowerment and child development minister Rekha Arya said that the problem of malnutrition is more in the plains than in the mountains. She informed that Udhmsingh Nagar has the highest number of 7978 in the entire state, 4952 in Haridwar, 1354 in Nainital and 1123 in Dehradun.
