Lok Sabha elections 2019: India-Nepal officials will make coordination

On Sunday, during the Lok Sabha elections, District Magistrate, Vijay Kumar Jogdande held a meeting with the officials of Nepal. Other officials, including Chief District Magistrate of Betadi and Darchula of Nepal, were present in the meeting. District Magistrate Dr. Jogdande appealed to officials of Nepal to take special vigilance and exchange of information in the border area considering the Lok Sabha elections going to be held on April 11. There is also discussion on sealing the Indo-Nepal border and keeping the swing closed before polling day. Considering cooperation in the exchange of information and interaction with each other, keeping a close watch on the desired and criminal trend.

It was decided that keeping a complete record of all strings on each hoax will also be monitored through CCTV cameras. The District Magistrate instructed the SSB officials to keep all the check posts in an alert. Custom officials instructed to investigate every item coming from Nepal. Said that no person should be unnecessarily harassed during the inspection. In the meeting, monitoring of crimes in the border area, trade of illegal narcotics, human trade, prevention of poaching, points related to mutual security were discussed.

Darchula’s Chief District Collector Shankar Bahadur Bisht conveyed that in the Vyas Valley of India, Nepal’s contact routes have been damaged due to the debris falling due to the road under construction. The District Magistrate, meeting with the officials of Dharuchula’s deputy collector Varun Aggarwal BRO and the companies working in the road construction work, directed them to repair the damaged foot-roads. Said that the debris did not fall towards Nepal.
