Lok Sabha elections 2019: 30 companies of paramilitary forces allotted to Uttarakhand

With the confirmation of Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission has allotted 30 companies of paramilitary forces in the first phase of Uttarakhand. They will make their inflows in the respective districts till March 15. According to the vision of election, Udhamsingh Nagar and Haridwar, which are connected to UP, have been considered as the most sensitive place. Meanwhile, DGP Anil Kumar Rathudi said that the police is fully prepared to conduct fair and peaceful elections.

The police chief has been preparing for the elections for a month. Arrangements have been made to make paramilitary forces in every district by making nodal officers. On behalf of the Police Headquarters, the demand of 100 companies of paramilitary forces was made from the Election Commission to conduct elections in the state. Election Commission has allotted 30 companies of paramilitary forces in the first phase. Director General of Police Rathudi said that these companies of paramilitary forces will reach the respective districts till March 15. The rest of the force will be available before the April 11 poll.

DGP said that in the wake of the election, the matter has been discussed with the Director General of Police of Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. With the deployment of paramilitary forces on the boundaries attached to the second state, CCTV cameras will be installed on every border. He said that many challenges have been increased in this time of elections compared to 2014. Police captains were told that strict compliance with the Model Code of Conduct should be followed. Every action related to the election should be transparent. He said that a work plan has been made in each district separately for sensitivity.

Conversation with neighboring states for home guards
Ashok Kumar, Director General of Police, Law, and Order said that besides 15,000 police personnel of the state, 20,000 home guards and PRD personnel will also be deployed on duty.
