In a historic victory in the Ranji Trophy Uttarakhand defeats Mizoram

In the Ranji Trophy, Uttarakhand has won a historic victory by defeating Mizoram by an innings and 56 runs. With this win, Uttarakhand reached the knockout stage of Ranji Trophy.
Uttarakhand had scored 377 in the first innings. In the first innings, Mizoram team was all out for 198 runs. Later, Uttarakd team forced Mizoram to follow on.
After that, Mizoram’s second innings was worse again. The entire team returned to Pavilion only by making 123 runs. Uttarakhand captain Rajat Bhatia in the second innings took four wickets, Mayank took three, Sunny Rana two and Ranjrajan took one wicket.
Mizoram batsman, who played a struggling inning in the match, was awarded the man of the match for scoring an unbeaten 96 runs in the first innings and 68 runs in the second innings.
For the first time, the BCCI hosted a tournament where the Ukd team took part. The team has reached the quarter-finals of the tournament with good performance. In their group, Uttarakhand team won 6 out of 8 matches, one of which resulted in a draw with Nagaland. The second match with Puducherry ended with no result which was then canceled. The team has scored 44 points in 8 matches.
