105 state colleges and all universities in the state will be connected with high speed network connectivity. This plan will be launched soon.
On Wednesday, a meeting of higher education, information and technology department and NIC officials was held in the assembly chamber under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Higher Education (Independent Charge) Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. Minister of State for Higher Education Dr. Rawat informed that ITDA has been entrusted with responsibility under the Department of Information and Technology for early implementation of the scheme. ITDA will soon start high-speed network connectivity in higher educational institutions of the state. For which the funds will be provided by the Higher Education Department. High speed network connectivity will provide online education and examination related facilities to the students under the present circumstances. Colleges can also be prepared for NAC ranking.
