In view of the new year in Haridwar, Rajaji Tiger Reserve and Forest Department have declared a high alert. Along with issuing patrol orders in all the ranges of the park, the leave of forest personnel has also been canceled.
On the occasion of New Year, hunters attempt to enter the forests. The Chila and Haridwar ranges of the park are considered to be the most sensitive. Most tourists arrive here to celebrate the New Year. In view of this, an intensive search is being done for all vehicles passing through Chila Marg.
Domesticated elephants are being monitored within the park and in the Ganges coastal areas. Warden of Rajaji Tiger Reserve Park Komal Singh informed that a high alert has been issued in all the ranges of the park.
Due to the holidays on New Year, the park gets a lot of tourists. Some anti-social elements also become active at this time. In view of this, vigilance is being taken in the park by running a checking campaign.
